About Me
Hey there! I'm a marketing professional with a passion for all things digital advertising and graphic design. I love working with small businesses and nonprofits to help them achieve their marketing goals.
When I'm not busy crafting marketing strategies or designing eye-catching visuals, you can find me updating my blog where I share industry insights, creative tips, and snippets of my work.
Stick around to explore my past projects and reach out if you want to collaborate!
My closest friends have called me “Trist” since I was young and it stuck.
Trist
My family has always found a way to spice up my first and middle name, but mostly called me “Tristen B” or “TBailey”.
B - For Bailey
Lastly, my compound last name “Metcalf” made it easy to combine it into “tristbmet.”

my Background
As a proud University of Nebraska–Lincoln graduate, I was fortunate enough to jump into agency digital marketing right here in Lincoln. While at UNL, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with double majors in Business Management and Marketing. I have worked with various clients including banks, law firms, small non-profits, restaurants, and industrial companies like Hausmann Construction, Capitol City Electric, Lincoln Winwater and more. I also have experience working live events such as Pinnacle Bank Championship, Omaha Storm Chasers games, Maha Music Festival, and The Railyard. I have extensive experience in Social Media strategy, building organic social media presence, managing platforms and content, and engaging with online audiences. I am passionate about the data behind marketing growth. Taking on a client, brainstorming a strategy, executing, and then reflecting on what went right and wrong is what pushes me to think outside the box. Working at start-up agencies that operate with a very small staff enabled me to engage in projects and tasks that I might never have the opportunity to do elsewhere.
connection
I am a self-taught graphic designer and have created logos and brand kits for small businesses and organizations. Before I ever knew I wanted to go into marketing (we’re talking middle school!) I understood the importance of personal brand. I’ve worked hard to define and promote my experiences, skills, and values. I love to help others develop their brand to differentiate and sell themselves and to create a lasting impression.
I formerly served on the board of directors for the American Marketing Association – Lincoln Chapter as the Executive Vice President of Communications. I oversaw a team of three whose main responsibilities included email, website, social media, and content marketing. Previous to that role, I served on the board as the Executive Vice President of Membership for 2 years.
I also coached the Lincoln Southeast Shirettes Dance Team. Previous to coaching, I was a dance instructor at Universal Dance Academy, and I danced for 20 years. I taught ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop and I worked closely with our nationally ranked competitive team.

A lil Extra
In my spare time you can usually find me spending time with family, friends, and my puppy, Birdie. I don’t rest easy, so I’m always on the move finding fun and exciting new experiences. I love to travel and experience life from different perspectives. I love to feel like I belong in a new city, so I make it my goal to learn a lot about every new place I go. Lincoln is home, but one city has my heart, New York City.
Fun fact: I’m a bit of a shoe collector… I don’t keep a running tally, but I’d put the number at more than 100 pairs. Most people pick their shoes after planning their outfit, but not me, my outfit is determined by which pair of shoes I’ll wear that day.
